Jeff Koons Design Concept for BMW Art Car
"Next in line to participate in the BMW Art Car series is none other than celebrated New York artist Jeff Koons, marking the 17th time that the German car maker has invited an artist to design a car. Yesterday the artist presented at a press conference the design of the BMW M3 GT2, that will take part at the famous Le Mans race later this year."“In the spirit of Calder, Stella, Lichtenstein, Warhol, and Holzer, BMW announced today that the 17th Art Car created by Jeff Koons will race where the first rolling pieces of art by legendary artists raced – at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France, June 12-13, 2010. Koons’ canvas is a BMW M3 GT2, which was homologated to compete at this year’s running of the world’s most famous endurance race.
In another nod to tradition, Koons will present the world premiere and sign his car at Paris’ Centre Pompidou on June 1, 2010, just as Roy Lichtenstein did in 1977.
Adding to the occasion, Koons released for the first time his preliminary design concept for the car today at a press conference in New York City. As part of his creative process, the artist collected images of race cars and graphics, vibrant colors and speed. He layered them into a digital collage depicting his sources of inspiration. The resulting graphic conceived by Koons – evocative of power, motion and light and rendered in the artist’s signature saturated hues on a black ground set against the car’s silver interior – will impart a dynamic appearance to the race car even when it’s standing still.”
The car will be presented at Centre Pompidou in Paris on June 1st.

Wiz Khalifa – In The Cut Live & Interview With We All Scheme
"To close out last Friday’s sold out show at the Pearl Street Nightclub in Northampton, Massachusetts – Wiz Khalifa performed a new Kush x Orange Juice mixtape song “In The Cut“. After the show, I got a chance to sit down with Wiz (shouts to Will & Artie) and ask him about the recent Jae Millz x XXL Freshmen comments, how his music has evolved from his Prince of The City mixtape days, the delay of Kush x Orange Juice, and how he describes the feeling of getting a tattoo"

Big Pooh’s Take On Little Brother vs. 9th Wonder
“We decided to give that song to people for two reasons. First, the people have been asking for another 9th/Little Brother song since this is the last Little Brother album. We had intended for that song to be an iTunes bonus track but certain circumstances led us to leak it, which leads to the second reason: We got word late Friday from our distribution company that iTunes took the song down following a call from 9th or someone in his camp. I feel that if he didn’t want the song out then he could have easily contacted any one of us (Big Dho, Phonte, or myself) and explained his reasoning and the issue would have been dealt with accordingly. Instead we find out on some “oh yeah, I forgot to tell” type shit while trying to figure out other information. “Star” was recorded in 2005-2006 for use by 9th on his Wonder Years album that has yet to get a release date. A lot of people have been asking and waiting for my response regarding the twitter outburst over the weekend. I posted a few statements via
Phonte and myself have always been made to look like the mean, jealous, bitter, former group members in the situation when that is far from the case. 9th has taken the “high road” because at the end of the day, there isn’t too much he can say if we really started throwing out the facts behind his departure from the group. We have issues that can and will only be worked out by us, if at all. Some of your outside input is appreciated but not necessary as we sort through this situation. At the end of the day it doesn’t help, it only adds fuel, regrettably. As always, we appreciate you support and thank you for listening.”
